Through the G100 Global Women Leaders platform, Women in Mining Africa (WiM Africa), in collaboration with Women in Management, Business and Public Service South Africa (WiMBIZSA), participated in the Africa Energy Indaba exhibition. WiM Africa extended an invitation to WiMBIZSA to share the exhibition space, creating an opportunity for both organisations to jointly engage with stakeholders and present their work in advancing women’s participation in sustainable resource sectors across the continent.

The three-day exhibition provided a platform to showcase initiatives related to mining, ESG, logistics, agribusiness, and sustainable community development. Through the shared stand, both organisations highlighted the growing role of women in shaping responsible resource management and sustainable economic participation, while also demonstrating the value of partnerships that strengthen women’s leadership across resource-driven value chains in Africa.

Throughout the exhibition, representatives engaged with industry stakeholders, ESG professionals, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and emerging graduates interested in opportunities within the mining, energy, and sustainability sectors. These engagements created opportunities to exchange ideas, discuss industry challenges, and explore ways to expand women’s participation in sectors critical to Africa’s economic growth and environmental sustainability.
