Milestone March: Advancing Women’s Leadership & Global Business Collaboration
G100 at UN CSW, New York, USA, 12 March & 21 March 2025
March 2025 marked a significant milestone for G100, as the organization hosted two landmark events dedicated to empowering women leaders, fostering collaboration, and driving economic progress. On March 12, 2025, within the framework of CSW69, G100 facilitated high-level discussions in New York, bringing together esteemed professionals to explore key themes in corporate governance, diversity, and cross-border business partnerships. Shortly after, on March 21, 2025, the G100 USA Business Networking Wing successfully launched its inaugural event, uniting women leaders from various industries to establish strong business networks and mentorship initiatives. These events reaffirmed G100’s mission to create a more inclusive and supportive global business environment for women.
The March 12, 2025, meetings in New York, led by Michelle Ferrari (G100 Global Chair, Corporate Boards & Gender Balanced Companies) and Patricia Gonzalez (G100 Global Chair, Human Resources & Talent Development), provided invaluable insights into corporate leadership and the evolving role of women in business. The first session, hosted at PwC, convened over 30 distinguished G100 members, who engaged in thought-provoking discussions on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). The session emphasized inclusive leadership practices and actionable strategies to foster equitable corporate structures worldwide. Industry leaders exchanged best practices to promote meaningful change, reinforcing the importance of women’s voices in shaping global business policies.
Beyond business discussions, participants also enjoyed an enriching cultural and leadership experience through an exclusive guided visit to Tiffany & Co. This visit provided an in-depth look at the brand’s heritage, craftsmanship, and leadership in the luxury sector, sparking engaging conversations on branding, innovation, and the growing influence of women in the luxury business industry. The event further solidified G100’s commitment to empowering women across diverse sectors.
A major highlight of the New York engagements was the Pre-WEF Iberoamérica and G100 gathering, featuring a compelling discussion with the President of the Business Council—one of the most influential women in Mexico. The conversation centered on global economic trends, U.S.-Mexico trade relations, and the role of cross-border collaborations in fostering sustainable growth. This dialogue reinforced the importance of international partnerships in building a more inclusive and prosperous business landscape.
On March 21, 2025, the G100 USA Business Networking Wing hosted its inaugural event, bringing together a distinguished group of women leaders from various industries. The event served as a dynamic platform for knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and business networking, setting the stage for future initiatives aimed at elevating women in leadership. A key highlight of the event was the inspirational keynote addresses delivered by influential women, including H.E. Ann Linde, Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden; Hon. Carmen Vasquez and Hon. Kathy J. King, New York Supreme Court Justices; Perla Tamez, Founder of Latina Empire & President of the Napoleon Hill Institute (Spanish Division); and Maria Belen Muñoz Barajas, Mexico’s first Indigenous Congresswoman from the State of Nayarit. These speakers shared powerful insights into leadership, economic empowerment, and the role of women in global business, inspiring attendees to drive change within their respective fields.
A significant moment during the event was the official introduction of the G100 USA Business Networking Wing State Chairs, who will lead efforts to expand the organization’s reach and impact across the country. The appointed State Chairs—Beatrice de Salles (California), Deborah Crowley (Michigan), Springa Zhao (Florida), and Denise Mejia Guerrero (Nevada)—will play a crucial role in fostering local business collaborations, mentorship programs, and leadership initiatives.
The event also featured engaging networking sessions, enabling participants to explore cross-sector partnerships, mentorship opportunities, and strategic initiatives to further economic empowerment for women. The discussions reinforced the critical need for inclusive and innovative approaches to entrepreneurship, corporate leadership, and business growth.
The success of these March 2025 engagements marks the beginning of a new era in women’s leadership, strengthening global connections and opening new opportunities for collaboration. G100 remains steadfast in its mission to empower, mentor, and support women in business, ensuring that they have access to the resources and networks needed to thrive in today’s competitive global economy.
