Shaping Rural Women’s Future in Agriculture: G100–FAO Dialogue
G100 Burkina Faso Meetings, 7 April 2026
A high-level meeting was convened at the FAO Office in Ouagadougou between representatives of the G100 Agriculture Wing and the FAO Country Office in Burkina Faso. This important engagement marked a significant milestone in strengthening dialogue and exploring strategic collaboration aimed at advancing agricultural development and women’s empowerment across the country.
The session commenced with welcoming remarks from the FAO Country Representative, who expressed sincere appreciation for the visit and acknowledged the importance of building partnerships with global initiatives such as G100. The G100 delegation, led by its Global Chair, introduced its members and conveyed their gratitude for the opportunity to engage in constructive and forward-looking discussions. The exchange established a positive and collaborative tone for the meeting.
During the discussions, G100 presented its vision, mission, and strategic priorities in Burkina Faso, placing a strong emphasis on empowering rural women and strengthening their role within the agricultural value chain. The presentation highlighted G100’s commitment to inclusive growth, capacity-building initiatives, and the development of impactful partnerships.
