In a vibrant display of global unity and feminine leadership, the G100 Meet & Greet was hosted in Singapore by Dr. Meenakshi Arora Dabral, G100 Global Chair, Global Alliances & Alumni Networks Wing and Managing Director of Mandala Global; alongside Her Excellency Madiepetsane Charlotte Lobe, High Commissioner of South Africa to Singapore; and Dr. Datin Hartini Binti Osman, G100 Global Chair, Philanthropy, Business & Poverty Eradication Wing and President of WEF ASEAN 2025.
Held as an intimate high tea gathering at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront, this prelude to the upcoming Women Economic Forum (WEF) ASEAN 2025 summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, welcomed a distinguished group of ambassadors, high commissioners, corporate executives, nonprofit leaders, academics, and social entrepreneurs from over 15 countries. The event became a dynamic space for deep dialogue, warmth, and connectionâexemplifying the values of economic empowerment, empathy, and inclusive collaboration.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Meenakshi Arora Dabral welcomed everyone to the High Tea as a gathering of thought leaders, innovators, and changemakers ahead of WEF ASEAN 2025. She noted that platforms of this nature offer women a unique opportunity to discuss transformative ideas, forge meaningful connections, and collaborate on shaping the future. She underscored an important point: âBeyond positions and portfolios, we came together as sisters.â
Co Host Honorable Excellency Madiepetsane Charlotte Lobe emphasized the importance of womenâs economic and financial inclusion, highlighting that throughout history, women have been innovators and creators of wealthâthe invisible hand behind the economies of many nations. She stressed that women continue to be crucial drivers of financial stability and economic resilience. As global financial systems navigate challenges such as rising inflation and climate change, incorporating gender-inclusive policies can strengthen economic frameworks, enhance market stability, and support sustainable growth.
Dr. Hartini Osman introduced the vision and preparations for WEF ASEAN 2025, which will convene under the theme: âWomen Leaders Beyond Borders: Shaping the Future of the ASEAN Sheconomy.â She shared that the summit is expected to gather around 400 delegates from the ASEAN region and feature speakers from across the globe. Dr. Osman emphasized the need to build leadership models centered on compassion, community, and collective action.
Dr. Harbeen Arora Rai, Founder of G100, Women Economic Forum, ALL Ladies League, Womenâs Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and SHEconomy, shared a heartfelt pre-recorded video message from India. She encouraged participants to support WEF ASEAN 2025 and highlighted the transformative power of global collaboration: âEach of us is ignited in our hearts to create impact.â
Notable attendees included representatives from the embassies of Chile, Cuba, the Czech Republic, the EU, Ireland, Nigeria, South Africa, Ukraine, and Venezuela, as well as institutional leaders from MIT, INSEAD, NUS, United Women Singapore, SCWO, SunMedia, Jonda Health, and many more.
âThis was not just a gatheringâit was a heartfelt moment of solidarity,â said Dr. Dabral. âA living example of what happens when women lead with trust, purpose, and unity.â
The event set the tone for WEF ASEAN 2025, positioning Singapore as a hub of global womenâs leadership and a beacon of cross-border collaboration for inclusive growth.
