Khosi Sibisi
Khosi Sibisi is the Founding Member and Chairperson of Women in Mining Business (WiMBIZ, SA), an organization dedicated to advancing women’s participation and leadership in the mining sector. Her contributions to the industry were recognized when she was named among the Top 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining by Women in Mining UK in 2018.
A seasoned businesswoman, social entrepreneur, public speaker, mentor, and coach, Khosi has built a distinguished career in corporate leadership, sustainability, and governance. She serves as a Non-Executive Director of HCI Coal and Ori Professionals and is the Chairperson of Gole VOP Trades, a company specializing in trading and bulk commodities, investing in strategic assets, and providing logistic solutions. Leveraging her extensive experience in strategic decision-making and business growth, she continues to drive impactful change in multiple industries.
She is the Founder of KS Management Consultants, a firm specializing in Sustainability Reporting aligned to International Standards, including TCFD, GRI, SASB, and others. The firm assists companies in aligning their Sustainability Reporting with ESG Principles and the UN Sustainable Development Goals Vision 2030.
Khosi’s career in mining began at Harmony Gold, where she held the position of Group Corporate Affairs. She later became the Founder and CEO of Khusela Women Investments, a 100% women-owned coal mining company that successfully established operating mines in the Mpumalanga Coalfields.
Her expertise extends across executive and non-executive roles in South Africa’s blue-chip companies listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. She is passionate about driving business success and is open to exploring new non-executive director opportunities, where she can contribute her leadership and industry insights.
Khosi holds a BA in Social Science from City College of New York, a Certificate in Purchasing and Supply Management from The Eli Broad Graduate School of Management, Michigan State University, USA, and a Certificate in ESG Sustainability Reporting and Regulation Implementation from Illinois University, USA. She is also a Wits Business School alumna, having completed short courses in Leadership Development, Finance for Non-Financial Managers, and Corporate Governance (King I, II & III).
