G100 Takes Davos: A Historic First Gathering of Equality Advocates Leading the Intelligent Age

G100 At Davos Week, Davos, Switzerland, 20 – 24 Jan 2025

Davos Week 2025 marked a historic milestone for the G100 global movement, with nearly 60 participants from diverse nations, including Kazakhstan, Poland, the U.S., Saudi Arabia, Ecuador, Malaysia, Ukraine, and India. This gathering aimed to advance the mission of gender equality, diversity, and shared opportunity. As the first-ever G100 assembly at Davos, the event amplified the voices of nearly 500,000 members committed to systemic transformation.

Notable attendees included Vladyslava Magaletska, former Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture of Ukraine; His Excellency Mr. Luis Gallegos from Ecuador; and Nurhayati Ali Assegaf, President of the Geneva Council for International Affairs and Development (GCIAD). The week offered an unparalleled platform for delegates to share impactful solutions, forge alliances, and advocate for actionable measures to ensure women’s voices are central to shaping the Intelligent Age. Insights from these discussions will culminate in a paper outlining strategies to address systemic barriers and promote inclusivity worldwide.

The G100 delegation’s presence at Davos represented a significant leap forward in the global conversation on gender parity. Gathering alongside key leaders during the World Economic Forum, G100 members seized the opportunity to participate in decision-making discussions and advocate for women’s critical role in shaping the future. This gathering demonstrated the collective power of a network spanning almost half a million members. Delegates introduced each other’s impactful work, explored cross-sectoral synergies, and shared innovative approaches to building inclusive societies. By fostering dialogue and collaboration, the G100 ensured its mission was not only heard but acted upon during this influential week.

Collaboration with the Swiss-Asian Chamber of Commerce

A key highlight of the week was G100’s participation in the first-ever meeting of the Swiss-Asian Chamber of Commerce, facilitated by Presidents Mr. Khalil Choudhary and Mr. Roger Leitner. Lucia de Luca, G100 Global Chair for Pay Parity & Corporate Transformation, addressed the Chamber, urging its members to implement inclusive practices within their organizations. She emphasized the need for actionable measures to create more inclusive workplaces and set a future appointment to review progress at the 2026 meeting in Davos.

Anila Hussain, CEO & Co-founder of Shenannz, and Liza Seggaya, international human rights lawyer and co-founder of Phenomenal Women Global, presented cooperative projects in Pakistan and Africa, providing tangible examples of inclusiveness and women’s economic participation. This event underscored the G100’s commitment to fostering accountability and measurable impact within the business community.

Building a Legacy for the Future

Davos Week 2025 was a week of “firsts” for the G100, laying the groundwork for future engagements and long-term impact. The G100 delegation’s debut at Davos showcased the movement’s strength, vision, and unwavering commitment to creating a more inclusive future. These events solidified the G100’s role as a global thought leader in advancing gender equality and corporate transformation.

As the G100 prepares to release its paper, the movement continues to build momentum, emphasising collaboration with other global networks to dismantle systemic barriers. Together, the G100 is setting the stage for a future defined by inclusivity, equality, and shared success.
