Leave No One Behind: Advancing Inclusion for Women and Girls with Disabilities in the SDG Era
G100 France Meetings alongside AAEEH, 9 October 2025
On October 9, as part of the celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child and the activities organized around the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Week, the Association d’Aide à l’Education de l’Enfant Handicapé (AAEEH) hosted an international conference at the French National Assembly and online. The conference gathered global experts, policymakers, and advocates to discuss inclusive education, gender equality, and disability rights within the framework of the SDGs.
Five years before the 2030 SDG deadline, the event aimed to revisit SDGs 4 (Quality Education), 5 (Gender Equality), 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) in relation to disability and the empowerment of girls and women with disabilities. The main objective was to identify concrete ways to fulfill the global promise of “leaving no one behind” by 2030 through the collaboration of multiple stakeholders from government, international organizations, and civil society.
