Business Beyond Borders: Building Bridges to Global Opportunities

G100 Business Chambers & Partnerships Wing, Nigeria launches a new platform to advance women’s enterprise, visibility and market access Lagos, Nigeria, 31 July 2026

G100 Global Women Leaders strengthened its presence and impact in Nigeria with the official launch of the G100 Business Chambers & Partnerships Wing, Nigeria, and the unveiling of its flagship initiative, Business Beyond Borders (BBB), at an inaugural gathering held in Lagos on 31 July 2026.
The event brought together women entrepreneurs, business leaders, professionals, ecosystem partners and other stakeholders around a shared vision: creating stronger pathways for women to build sustainable enterprises, increase their visibility, develop strategic relationships and access opportunities beyond their immediate markets.

Led in Nigeria by Oluwaseun AyanfeOluwa, Nigeria Country Chair, Business Chambers & Partnerships Wing, the Wing is focused on translating the G100 vision into practical opportunities for women in business and professional leadership.

G100 Global Women Leaders is an international action and think tank comprising distinguished women leaders working through specialised Wings and country networks across more than 100 countries. Through advocacy, collaboration, knowledge exchange and strategic partnerships, the network seeks to advance women’s leadership, participation and impact across sectors.

Within this global ecosystem, the Business Chambers & Partnerships Wing provides a platform for strengthening enterprise, building strategic connections and fostering collaboration among women entrepreneurs, professionals, institutions, business communities and development stakeholders.

From Capability to Visibility
At the heart of the Nigeria Wing’s work is Business Beyond Borders, conceived in response to a challenge experienced by many women entrepreneurs: capability does not automatically create visibility or opportunity.
Across Nigeria, women are building valuable businesses, developing innovative solutions and contributing significantly to their communities and the wider economy. Yet many remain insufficiently connected to the networks, markets, institutions and platforms that could accelerate their growth.
Business Beyond Borders was created to help close that gap.

Built around the central proposition “From Capability to Visibility,” BBB provides a structured pathway through which women can strengthen their businesses, position themselves more strategically and develop relationships that create access to new opportunities.
The initiative is anchored on three interconnected pillars:
Preparation focuses on strengthening business readiness. Through targeted learning, business diagnostics and practical interventions, women are supported to identify critical gaps, improve their structures and prepare for larger opportunities.
Positioning focuses on visibility, credibility and market relevance. It equips women to communicate their value more effectively, strengthen their brands and thought leadership, and become more visible to the customers, institutions, partners and markets they seek to reach.

Partnerships recognises that sustainable growth rarely happens in isolation. The pillar facilitates strategic relationships, collaborations, institutional connections and networks capable of opening doors to markets, resources and cross-border opportunities.

Together, the three pillars form a pathway from Preparation to Positioning to Partnerships — and ultimately from capability to greater opportunity and sustainable growth.
Building for measurable transformation
Business Beyond Borders is designed to go beyond conventional business training.

Central to its approach is the BBB Business Growth Diagnostic, developed to help participating women understand the current state of their businesses, identify critical growth constraints and determine where focused intervention is most needed.
Rather than providing the same training to every entrepreneur, the diagnostic approach allows BBB to develop more targeted learning and development pathways around the actual needs of participating businesses.

These interventions are supported by business clinics, practical masterclasses, visibility and positioning opportunities, strategic networking, institutional collaborations, mentorship and relevant market-access initiatives.
The goal is not simply participation in programmes. It is measurable progress in the businesses and professional journeys of the women within the BBB ecosystem.
Building bridges through partnerships
Partnership is fundamental to the Business Beyond Borders model.

The G100 Business Chambers & Partnerships Wing, Nigeria is therefore building relationships across the private sector, government institutions, trade and business organisations, development organisations, media and other ecosystem stakeholders.
These collaborations are intended to connect women not only to knowledge, but also to people, platforms, markets and opportunities capable of accelerating their growth.
Speaking on the vision behind the initiative, Nigeria Country Chair Oluwaseun AyanfeOluwa emphasised the importance of moving women beyond competence alone:
“Many women are already capable. They have built valuable businesses, developed expertise and demonstrated resilience. But capability must be seen, strategically positioned and connected to opportunity. Business Beyond Borders is about helping women make that journey — from capability to visibility, from visibility to opportunity, and from opportunity to sustainable growth.”
For Agatha Adesigbin, Western Region Chair, Business Chambers & Partnerships Wing, Nigeria, the launch represents an important step towards expanding the possibilities available to women entrepreneurs:
“Nigerian women are building incredible businesses. Through Business Beyond Borders, we want to help ensure that their capability translates into visibility, partnerships and sustainable growth. This launch marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for women’s economic leadership in Nigeria.”

From launch to action
The 31 July gathering was designed not simply as an unveiling, but as the beginning of an implementation journey.
Since the launch, the Nigeria Wing has begun translating the BBB framework into practical interventions for its growing community of women entrepreneurs and professionals.

Early activities have included business development interventions and the deployment of the BBB Business Growth Diagnostic to provide greater insight into members’ needs and guide future development pathways.
The Wing is also expanding strategic relationships with organisations that share its commitment to women’s enterprise and economic advancement. This includes a collaboration with She Leads Africa, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at advancing opportunities for women entrepreneurs.

As BBB develops, its programme of activities will continue to encompass business clinics, targeted masterclasses, visibility initiatives, strategic partnerships, networking, institutional engagement and conversations around market access and cross-border growth.
Looking beyond borders
For G100 Nigeria, “beyond borders” is about more than geography. It represents a mindset in which women-owned businesses are equipped to move beyond limitations in structure, visibility, networks and market access. It is about preparing businesses to pursue larger opportunities. It is about ensuring that credible women entrepreneurs are visible to the people and institutions looking for their expertise, products and solutions. And it is about building relationships that enable women to move from operating within familiar circles to participating confidently in broader national, African and global markets.

Through Business Beyond Borders, the G100 Business Chambers & Partnerships Wing, Nigeria seeks to contribute to an ecosystem in which more women are prepared for opportunity, positioned for visibility and connected through purposeful partnerships.
The ambition is both simple and far-reaching:
From Capability to Visibility.

From Visibility to Opportunity.
From Opportunity to Sustainable Growth.
