Fostering Connections, Empowering ASEAN Exchange

G100 Vietnam Meetings, Ho Chi Minh & Phu Quoc, 29 november, 3 december 2024

We recently had the privilege of visiting Vietnam with a group of Indian business leaders in honour of Dr. Bina Modi, a renowned businesswoman and iconic female leader. Dr. Modi graciously hosted us additionally for a G100 Meet & Greet breakfast at the Park Hyatt Saigon, where we invited women leaders from various walks of life.

The meet & greet event was attended by around 15 women leaders on November 30th, followed by additional meetings on December 1st and 2nd. We were also joined by Datin Hartini Osman from Malaysia, who leads as G100 Global Chair for the wing of Philanthropy, Business & Poverty Eradication. She shared about the upcoming Women Economic Forum for the ASEAN region in June 2025, and invited women leaders to join in order to strengthen cooperation among ASEAN countries.

The gathering brought together a diverse group of accomplished women from various fields. Participants included Ms. Nguyen Le Anh, CEO of Life Appreciate Inc.; Ms. Naomi Nga Doan, CEO of MindsVibe Inc.; Ms. Nga, Director of Ben Tre Coop; PhD candidate Nguyen Thi Lan from PetroVietnam University; and several entrepreneurs and business leaders, including Ms. Trieu Thi Huong Thuy, Ms. Joyce Phan, Ms. Jancy Tram Nguyen, Ms. Mi Nguyen, and Ms. Koyama Thao, Founder of Eldoraku Inc.

During our stay, we also visited the Phu Quo Island, a newly developed island space with extensive infrastructure. We were impressed by Vietnam’s efforts to welcome the world through this unique destination. We explored possibilities for future retreats here with our G100 Retreats, Recreation, and Restoration wing.

We extend our gratitude to Dr. Modi for her warm hospitality and to our new Vietnamese sisters for joining us. This trip marked a wonderful first step in engaging with leaders in Vietnam and learning about the country’s progressive steps towards empowering women in the ASEAN region.
