Thabo Makama is the CEO and Founder of T Makama & Partners and the Co-Founder of TWKB Talent Centric, a strategic consulting and advisory company serving multinational corporations, local private companies, and public sector organisations. Over the years, he has provided services to a diverse portfolio of clients, including Barloworld, Microsoft, Accenture, Air Liquide, and Adapt IT.

He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the BMW ESD/SD Trust for Sub-Saharan Africa and the Rustenburg Community Development Trust (RCDT), an Anglo-American Alchemy PBO supporting mining communities in Rustenburg. Additionally, he is a Stanford University Global Innovation Catalyst Fellow and has contributed as a Business Mentor for the Milken-Motsepe Foundation Agriculture and Technology Challenge. He also hosts the T-Junction Podcast, a weekly show dedicated to entrepreneurship and business leadership.

With over 19 years of professional experience, Thabo has held senior leadership positions in both corporate and consulting sectors. His previous roles include key positions at Absa/Barclays Africa, Transnet Rail Engineering, Siemens, Joy Global, and Accenture. His areas of expertise encompass Human Capital Strategy, Organizational Transformation, Enterprise & Supply Chain Development, SME Funding Solutions, and BBBEE & Diversity/Inclusivity Strategy.

Academically, he holds a degree in Supply Chain Management, a postgraduate qualification in Human Capital Strategy Management, and is a certified Programme Instructor for Innovation & Entrepreneurship through Stanford University and Global Innovation Catalyst.

An eloquent public speaker, Thabo is fluent in seven of South Africaโ€™s 11 official languages. With professional media training, he has delivered impactful speeches at conferences, workshops, radio programmes, and other public engagements, inspiring audiences through his thought leadership and vision for inclusive growth.
