Shireen Yacoub
She is an expert in the fields of non-profit management, education technology and youth empowerment, she is currently a managing partner at Istidama Consulting. In this role she leads strategic planning and partnerships for the company, which offers socio-economic development services and consulting. Previously, she was the CEO of Edraak, the Arab world’s leading open online learning platform serving 6 million learners in the MENA region, launched by the Queen Rania Foundation in 2014. She serves as an advisor on multiple councils in the higher education space focused on e-learning and skilling. Shireen holds a master’s degree in Technology, Innovation and Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her research is focused on the intersection of education technology and the future of work and employment. She is a volunteer with various NGOs working in the space of local community development, youth and women empowerment. She is a proud mother of two boys and enjoys drawing during her spare time.
