Pavan Bhatia

Pavan Bhatia is the Founder and CEO of GenWE Inc. and Co-Founder of CareerGPS. With over 25 years of experience at PepsiCo in senior global Human Resources roles, Pavan transitioned to entrepreneurship in 2020 to pursue his passion for developing future leaders. He launched GenWE in March 2020 with a mission to nurture global young leaders by equipping teenagers with essential leadership skills through a unique pairing model that connects youths from diverse backgrounds.

In 2022, he co-founded CareerGPS, a startup focused on transforming career development. CareerGPS simplifies, automates, and enhances career pathways for individuals while helping organizations identify high-potential talent and strengthen succession planning processes.

In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Pavan is a frequent speaker at corporate events and undertakes leadership consulting assignments with prominent global and regional organizations. His consulting expertise includes CEO transitions, leadership team effectiveness, HR transformation, and organizational culture. Over the course of his career, he has worked with senior leaders from over 50 nationalities.

Pavan serves as a board observer for GEMS Education and sits on the advisory board of Vartaleap, a coalition of 180 NGOs focused on youth development in India.

Before embracing entrepreneurship, Pavan held the role of Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for PepsiCo’s Asia, Middle East, and Africa business units, based in Dubai from 2016 to 2020. In this capacity, he developed long-term HR strategies and talent pipelines across 70 countries and played a pivotal role as part of the global HR leadership team.

Earlier, Pavan served as SVP of Global Talent Acquisition & Deployment at PepsiCo’s headquarters in Purchase, New York. He was responsible for building the senior leadership pipeline, enhancing diversity, and driving succession planning for the company’s top 100 leadership roles.

Originally from India, Pavan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Delhi University and a Master’s degree in Human Resources from the Xavier Labor Relations Institute (XLRI), India.
