Marguerite Soeteman-Reijnen

She is Former Chairman of the Executive Board of Aon Holdings B.V. and Aon Group International B.V. (part of Aon Plc; NYSE AON) and other Holdings entities in the Netherlands and Global Chief Marketing Officer and Member of the Executive Committee of Aon Inpoint. Holdings consolidating USD 7bn of Aon’s total global revenue in the Netherlands. Aon is active in 120 countries around the globe and has 55,000 employees. Marguerite has over 33 years international experience in the financial services and insurance industry.

In addition Marguerite holds various non-executive and ambassador roles amongst others chairman of the Supervisory Board of Kelp Blue, vice chairman of the Supervisory Board of international law firm NautaDutilh, member of the global Alumni board of Harvard Business School (USA), member of the Supervisory board of the Dutch Royal Military Museums and member Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands. Marguerite is Ambassador of UWC Maastricht and supports their MENA Women Empowerment initiative.

Marguerite is an expert on leadership, diversity, inclusion and equity and a seasoned international speaker on the topic. She is Chair of the Advisory Board of SER Topvrouwen (the Dutch nationwide diversity C-suite female empowerment initiative) and also represents the Kingdom of the Netherlands and its private sector in the G20 women empowerment alliance G20 EMPOWER. She attended next to the Dutch Minister of Education, Culture and Science the recent G20 Ministerial Conferences on Women Empowerment in Italy and Indonesia. This year she will join the meetings organized by the G20 Presidency in India.

Marguerite was named Woman to Watch by US Magazine Business Insurance in 2010. In 2021 Marguerite was awarded the Ambassador J. William Middendorf II award. This award is presented to individuals who have markedly served to strengthen relations between the United States and the Netherlands and was prior to Marguerite awarded to a.o. former Dutch Prime Ministers Lubbers and Balkenende and former CEO’s of KLM, ABN AMRO, ING etc. In 2021 and 2022 she was chosen as one of the Top 50 Women in Sustainable Finance in the Netherlands. In 2022 a honorary doctorate in philosophy was conferred to her by RAI University, India.

Marguerite received a Master degree in Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam and is an alumna of INSEAD and Harvard Business School.
