Judith Batchelar OBE
Judith Batchelar OBE is a Biochemist, Board Director, Trustee of The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, Ambassador for the Woodland Trust and Farm Africa, Member of the Natural Environment Research Council, UK.
She is an influential leader in the food and drink industry with over thirty-five years of experience encompassing the diverse sectors of manufacturing, retail, and policy. A versatile leader, she brings a wealth of knowledge across domains, spanning environment, climate resilience, supply chain sustainability, corporate responsibility, and the future of food.
Judith is Honorary President of the British Nutrition Foundation, Non-Executive Director of the Environment Agency, and Chair of the Rugby Players Association.
She was formerly Director of Brand at Sainsbury’s, with responsibilities for product and policy development, food safety packaging, as well as corporate responsibility and public affairs.
Judith holds an Honorary Doctorate in Agriculture from Harper Adams University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Food Science and Technology and the Royal Society of Arts and Manufacturers.
Judith was awarded an OBE in 2015 for services to Farming and the Food Industry and is a Commissioner on the Food, Farming and Countryside Commission.
