H. E. Anca Dragu

H. E. Anca Dragu  is Romanian economist and politician, she was the Minister of Public Finance (November 2015 – January 2017) and was the President of the Senate of Romania from December 2020 until November 2021. She is the first woman in the history of the Senate to hold this position. Dragu graduated from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies in 1996. 

From 1999 to 2000 she studied at Georgetown University and George Washington University. She obtained an MA degree in public administration from the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration in 2007 and a PhD in economics from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies in 2010.
