A distinguished G100 Global Strategy Dialogue was convened at the United Nations Headquarters, New York, under the leadership of the G100 Law & Justice Wing. The dialogue brought together global legal and policy leaders to examine the critical intersections of law, justice, and sustainable development in an increasingly complex global landscape.
The session was led by Hon. Carmen Velasquez, Justice of the Supreme Court of New York and G100 Global Chair – Law & Justice, whose leadership set the tone for an insightful and forward-looking dialogue. Discussions focused on reinforcing justice-centered governance, strengthening institutional accountability, and advancing legal frameworks that uphold equity, inclusion, and the rule of law as foundational pillars of sustainable development.
Participants explored how robust justice systems play a vital role in addressing systemic inequalities, protecting human rights, and enabling economic and social resilience. Emphasis was placed on the need for gender-responsive legal policies, cross-border cooperation, and multi-stakeholder engagement to effectively respond to global challenges and support long-term development goals.
The dialogue also highlighted the importance of aligning legal institutions with global sustainability agendas, ensuring that justice remains central to policy formulation, implementation, and international cooperation. Meaningful exchanges and shared insights underscored the role of women leaders in shaping transformative legal reforms and fostering ethical and inclusive decision-making at national and international levels.
This high-level engagement reaffirmed G100’s commitment to advancing principled leadership, inclusive justice systems, and collaborative global action. Outcomes from the dialogue will inform future initiatives, advocacy efforts, and strategic engagements led by the G100 Law & Justice Wing, contributing to a more just, equitable, and sustainable world.
