Gerard retired from PwC as of September 30th 2020. Gerard’s most recent role at PwC was the Global AWS alliance and practice leader, the Global Data and Analytics Leader and the US Consumer Markets Cloud leader. In his leadership role Gerard is responsible for driving the global strategy and direction for PwC’s go to market relationship with AWS and the AWS practice as well as for PwC’s Data and Analytics capabilities across all of our businesses with a focus on helping clients with all their cloud, AWS, data and analytics challenges as well as embedding data and analytics in everything we do.
Prior to this role, Gerard was the Global IT Front Office Technology leader for PwC and he was PwC’s Technology Consulting Leader responsible for all Technology Consulting services and teams in the US, Japan, Hong Kong/China and Mexico. Gerard was a member of the US Advisory Leadership team and the US Extended Leadership team. He continues to serve several of the firm’s key clients and also leads several technology enabled transformation engagements. Gerard also led the PwC US Alliances and Channels program in addition to leading the Global Oracle alliance. In these roles he was responsible for strengthening PwC’s major alliances to drive growth across the firm and specific to Oracle, he was responsible worldwide for all Oracle solutions and services as well as the Oracle relationship and practice.
In the past, Gerard has acted as the US Advisory CIO for PwC with the responsibility for overseeing the Advisory IT organization and the development, maintenance and support of the Advisory-specific technology products and solutions.
Gerard has over 30 years of experience and is trained and experienced in Digital and Cloud Transformation, Business Application Transformation, Cyber Security, Data, Analytics and AI and IT auditing. Gerard has been IT-auditor, consultant and project manager for global clients in a wide variety of industries, including Retail, Technology, Financial Services, Consumer Goods, Industrial Manufacturing, Healthcare and Utilities.
He possesses extensive knowledge and expertise in leading and supporting large enterprise projects for global organizations, such as Technology Enabled Business Transformations, Cyber Security projects, global strategic sourcing projects, as well as year 2000 and Euro conversion projects.Gerard has an IT Auditing degree from the Erasmus University, Rotterdam, The Netherlands and holds a B.S. in Business Information Systems.
