Dr. Savita Sengar
Dr. Savita Sengar, Chancellor of Jharkhand Rai University (JRU), India, is a distinguished academician, an accomplished academic administrator, and an architect by education.
Dr. Sengar is dedicated to bridging the gap between education and community development. She actively works to make skill-based learning accessible to students across Jharkhand and neighboring states, ensuring they are equipped with industry-relevant knowledge.
As a thought leader in the education sector, Dr. Savita holds several other leadership positions of eminence and influence. She is a member of the Board of Management of a Central University in Lucknow, nominated by the Hon’ble President of India. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Governors of the Board of Practical Training Eastern Region, Ministry of Education, Government of India, and is a member of the Governing Council of the Association of Indian Universities.
Dr. Sengar’s exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication to education have earned her numerous prestigious awards and accolades. She was recognized as the Outstanding Leader of the Year (2017) by the Centre for Education Growth and Research (CEGR) for her remarkable contributions to academia. In 2022, she was honored among the Women of the Decade at the Women Economic Forum (WEF) for her impactful leadership in education. Her contributions to education have also been recognized through prestigious awards such as the Guru Shiksha Samman (2016) and *Guru Shiksha Samman (2015), both awarded by Dainik Bhaskar for her outstanding work in the field.
