Côte d’Ivoire: First Afterwork of the First Ladies.
G100 First Ladies outreach Wing Meet & Greet,
Côte d’Ivoire, 21 November 2025
The Noom Hotel Abidjan Plateau served as the venue on Friday, November 21, for the very first after work of the G100 First Ladies Outreach – Côte d’Ivoire. The gathering was coordinated by the Côte d’Ivoire Country Chair, First Ladies Outreach, Marie-France Kouakou, under the supervision and with the effective presence of H.E. Euphrasie Kouassi Yao, Global Chair of the G100 First Ladies Outreach Wing and holder of the UNESCO Chair “Water, Women and Decision-Making Power.”
In her remarks, Mrs. Euphrasie Yao recalled the special place occupied by Côte d’Ivoire within the network:
“Côte d’Ivoire has been honored by the G100, which brings together the 100 most influential women in the world. The newly appointed women of G100 Côte d’Ivoire are called upon to commit to equal opportunities between men and women, peace, advocacy, and all that hinders sustainable and inclusive development. Appointed for their dynamism and leadership, these exceptional women will be tasked with covering different regions of the country in order to positively impact communities, including those in the most remote areas. A total of 36 regional coordinators were officially presented during this after work, ready to join G100 initiatives and carry the voice of Ivorian women. The Global President of the G100 also urged these new leaders to strengthen their skills and to implement their actions in a concrete manner, particularly within local communities.”
“Côte d’Ivoire has developed a unique approach to gender and development. The women of the Ivorian section of the G100 must be familiar with the programs that have made our country the African Champion with the OECD. Leadership is built in the regions, in the villages. It was through my actions in Diatokro that I obtained the UNESCO Chair, being the only woman in Côte d’Ivoire to hold it,” she recalled.
