She is the Special Advisor to the President of DRCongo on Youth, Gender & Violence against Women, she is a leading activist, a recognized humanist and feminist, a fighter for social justice, economic and women’s rights, without forgetting of course a passionate of the fight against all forms of injustice such as immigration reform, health care reform, reproductive rights, the natural environment, racial equality and workers’ rights.

Having spent more time outside the country, in the DR Congo (mainly in Canada and Belgium), Chantal is multilingual. She is fluent in French, English, Kikongo, Lingala and some Swahili. Her professional career is flourishing and varied: President and CEO, Care Coordinator, Director of Nursing, etc. Her clinical background is very laudatory and has mainly focused on the following medical areas: emergencies, long-term care, palliative care, mental health and maternity.

What is more, she has been able to access several positions of responsibility within the various organizations as a community leader. Her strong experience in the field of community health and her personal commitment to promote youth and defend the causes of women on the international scene have earned her the choice of the current President of Congo to serve as Advisor on Gender to the current President of DRC Honb’le Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo.
