She was Chairwoman of the Management Board, Kazakhstan Stock Exchange JSC (KASE) since 2016, Ms Aldambergen also serves as a member of the Board and the Working Committee of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS). She is also a member of the Council of the Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan and the Board of Directors of the Central Securities Depository JSC.
Ms Aldambergen is also a member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO) in Kazakhstan and and on the International Advisory Council of the School of Business Administration of Nazarbayev University. Over the years, she held senior management positions in the Baiterek national managing holding, various state development organisations and commercial banks. Alina Aldambergen held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation and Supervision of the Financial Market and Financial Organizations in 2008-2011, Deputy Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation of Activities of the Regional Financial Center of Almaty city in 2006-2007.
She holds an MBA (Corporate Finance and Accounting) from the Simon Business School, the University of Rochester (USA), and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Kazakh State Academy of Management (Narxoz University). Being one of the women-leaders she regularly gives lectures and participates in conferences on leadership, diversity and gender equality. She believes that the women’s contribution to the development of society should be equally appreciated.
